THINK PAIR SHARE (TPS) STRATEGIES AND DIRECTED READING THINKING ACTIVITY (DRTA) TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION ON READING COMPREHENSION ACHIEVEMENT

چکیده
The research deals with teaching strategies and students’ motivation on reading comprehension achievement. objective of this study is to reveal that the achievement in taught by Think Pair Share significantly higher than Directed Reading Thinking Activity using question answer relationship study. method used quantitative design. populations are students Midwifery Grade II at STIKes Mitra Husada Medan, Academic year 2021/2022. Two classes randomly selected total samplings 72 students. instruments multiple choice test questionnaire. data analyzed Two-Way ANOVA 2x2 factorial designs F observed = 14.1 table 4.00, results indicated Fobserved Ftable, so null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It concluded TPS strategy better those Based research, researchers recommend learning model because can improve students' ability solve problems. This also be as an alternative apply innovative English learning, especially reading, creating exciting atmosphere, providing opportunities for express their ideas own way.
